Each Fall and Spring 12-week programs culminates in a GOTR 5k run/walk, which are held in December and May. The 5K event, which is open to the public to watch and participate in, includes many family members and friends who come together to support the girls as they strive to cross the finish line.
The race is always a special day for the girls. They participate in a variety of kid-friendly activities before both and after the race, as well as along the course. All participants receive free food/drink, a race t-shirt and a goodie bag. All registered Girls on the Run program participants receive free entry to the GOTR 5k that season.
Date: 11/20/20109 am registration, 10 am start
Location: Sawyer Point, Cincinnati
Cost: $15 prior to October 22, $20 prior to November 20, $25 race day
Our Fall 2010 5k will take place at Sawyer Point on a revamped course! Fun, festivities, and registration will start at 9 am, with the race beginning at 10am.
